Appearance:

1. Coat Color: Rottweilers have a thick double coat, usually black with tan markings. The tan can appear above their eyes, on the sides of the face, chest, legs, and under the tail.

2. Size & Build: Rottweiler puppies are compact and muscular, even as puppies. They have broad chests and a strong, sturdy build, with large paws that they grow into as they mature.

3. Face: They have a broad, slightly rounded head with medium-sized eyes, usually dark brown. Their ears are triangular and floppy when they’re young.

4. Tail: Typically, they have a natural tail that is straight and medium-length, though some may have their tails docked (this depends on regional regulations).

As they mature, the markings and size will become more prominent. They grow to be large dogs, with males reaching up to 95 pounds or more, and females around 80 pounds.

Temperament:

Rottweiler puppies are curious, playful, and energetic. They love attention and often bond deeply with their families. Rottweilers are also known for being:

• Loyal: They’re naturally protective of their family, which is why they’re so popular as guard dogs.

• Intelligent: They learn quickly but need early training and socialization to be well-adjusted.

• Confident: They tend to be independent, but also affectionate and gentle with their loved ones.

Temperature:

Rottweilers are generally comfortable in moderate temperatures. Due to their dense double coat, they may struggle in extreme heat, and you’ll want to make sure they have plenty of water and a cool space to relax in during hot weather. In colder temperatures, their thick coat helps protect them, but they’re still sensitive to extreme cold, so providing them with shelter is important if they’re outdoors for long periods.

When it comes to indoor temperatures, Rottweilers prefer a comfortable, climate-controlled space but can adapt to warmer or cooler conditions as long as they have access to fresh water and shade or warmth as needed.
